If you are having the same dream over and over, it may be your subconscious trying to tell you something and you’re not getting the message. To stop the dreams from recurring, then sit down and analyze it.
Lucid Dreams:
Changing your dreams as they are happening is called “lucid” dreaming, which means that your conscious mind becomes awre that your subconscious is dreaming. It feels like you are awake in your dream and you can control what happens. No one knows for sure why this happens. Some researchers believe that you can train your mind for lucid dreaming to have more control over what your dreams. If you know someone with many scary nightmares, maybe they can use lucid dreaming to defeat the thing that is scarying them.
Having the same dream as a friend:
Actually is is not all uncommon for two or more people to have similar dreams. Both of your subsconsiouc minds may remember the same material so it may be normal to have similar dreams that night. You may find that it happens more with people you are close to, someone you spends lots of time with and is close in age.
Sleepwalking and Sleep Talking:
Almost everyone has talked in their sleep – some people mumble every now and then, while others carry on high volume conversations.
Sleepwalking is more complex. You are asleep but the part of your brain that controls your body is “woken up” somehow, possibly from a dream you’re having but scientists do not know for sure. Sleepwalkers can do a lot more than walk in their sleep. Some will shower, eat, brush their teeth and then wake up on the couch or in a chair. If you know you sleep walk or know someone who does, you may want your family doctor to give tips on ways to control your sleepwalking. It is untrue that you cannot wake up a sleepwalker, but it’s best to coax a sleepwalker back into bed than have them wake up freaked out when they realize they are doing something, like eating a sandwich in their sleep.
